Prof. Daniel Yachia, M.D.

Founder, President and Chief Scientific Officer

Prof. Yachia is a retired Professor of Urology at the Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion – Israel’s Institute of Technology in Haifa. He is a well recognized expert in the field of urology who lectured at numerous universities in Europe, Australia and the United States and also presented extensively in international congresses. He was the founder and Chairman of the Urology Department in Hillel Yaffe Medical Center (1998-2005). He published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, edited and wrote the textbook Stenting the Urinary System which was selected as the Book of The Year in 1999 in the Field of Surgical Books by the British Medical Association. Its 2nd Edition won the Most Recommended Book of the BMA in 2004. He also wrote and illustrated the Text Atlas of Penile Surgery published in 2006. He is a member of numerous editorial and reviewers boards of several international professional journals. Having developed numerous inventions, Prof. Yachia has enormous experience in establishing medical enterprises.

 

Prior to initiating Innoventions, Prof. Yachia was an co-founder of InStent, Inc. that developed self-expandable stents for the treatment of endoluminal problems. In 1996 InStent was subject to an M&A with Medtronic. Additionally, Prof. Yachia was a co-founder of Harmonia Inc., a Delaware company developing solutions for the treatment of prostate gland obstructions. He was the Senior Medical Consultant to Impetus, Ltd. developing a new generation of penile implant for the treatment of erectile dysfunction based on his invention. He was the founder of Allium Medical Solutions developing and marketing covered non-vascular stents. Allium is traded in TASE (Tel Aviv Stock Market).

               

Prof. Yachia has registered several USA and International Patents (>20) in the field of medical devices, and has several pending USA and international patent applications on new treatment devices.  He has close professional connections with large medical device companies. In a prior cooperative project, he assisted COOK Urological in the development of the “Yachia Incisionless Bladder Suspension Set” for the surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence, a technique he developed. He was a consultant to MyoPowers, a Swiss company developing an artificial urethral sphincter.

Haim Inselberg

Mr. Haim Inselberg was the President of Haaretz – Daily newspaper and CEO of Shemen Food Industries. He is considered a leader with proven ability to identify new business, technology and market opportunities and to conceive innovative corporate strategies. He received his undergraduate degree from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University.

Mr. Shai Ben-Efraim is a 25-year veteran of the Israeli Medtech sector. A serial entrepreneur who has established and managed five start-up companies, four of which are in the medical device arena (CardioCom - cardiac monitoring, CPR Devices - emergency medicine, MediFlow - prostatic stents and Magen OrthoMed - orthopedic implants). He has the experience of growing business operations from scratch, specializing in fund-raising, marketing, and global business development.

Raveh – Ravid expertise is in consulting and handling high-tech companies, and is acting as the Company's financial advisors. The firm’s co-founder Mr. Itzhak Ravid serves as a director on the Boards of several leading Israeli investment companies
